Riezman Berger, P.C. Attorneys Present to the St. Louis Real Estate Investors Association
On Friday, April 17, 2009 Riezman Berger, P.C. Managing Shareholder Richard N. Tishler, and associate Christine M. Painter presented a seminar entitled “Avoid Form Contracts! The Pitfalls of Using Standard Real Estate Forms to approximately 80 real estate investors at the offices of the St. Louis Association of Realtors. The seminar discussed numerous issues which are not covered in standard real estate forms, but should be considered by both buyers and sellers when making or accepting an offer for the purchase or sale of residential real estate. Richard and Chrissy would like to thank the investors in attendance and the representatives of the St. Louis Real Estate Investors Association for their welcoming attitude, attentiveness and questions following the presentation.
Richard N. Tishler’s practice encompasses a wide variety of transactional, corporate, business planning, tax planning and estate planning matters, including Mergers & Acquisitions, real estate purchases and dispositions, domestic taxation issues, Prenuptial Agreements and Partnership and Limited Liability Company transactions. A significant portion of Richard’s practice is dedicated to advising individuals and closely held businesses, as to tax and business planning and strategies, and he regularly represents clients in asset and stock purchase agreements ranging in price from $500,000 to over $100 Million. For many of his clients, Richard provides on-going advice and counsel on day to day operational, business, real estate and tax issues. Most recently, Richard was listed in the Global Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals as well as Marquis Who’s Who in the World. Richard was recently an Advisory Board Member for the Midwest Region of the Managing Partners Forum held in October 2007.
Since joining Riezman Berger in 2005, Christine M. Painter’s practice has been focused on counseling corporate entities and other clients in areas of general corporate governance, general business transactions, franchise law, and tax law. Chrissy holds a Bachelor of Science in History from Indiana University and a Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington where she was a recipient of the Bernard A. Frick Scholarship.
