McAuliffe; serving and celebrating the Missouri arts community
Emmett McAuliffe recently took part in selecting and celebrating the 2015 recipients
of the Missouri Arts Awards. Honorees are selected by the Missouri Arts Council, a board which McAuliffe was appointed to by Governor Wheeler Nixon. The ceremony was held in the capitol rotunda, with awards presented by First Lady Georganne Wheeler Nixon. While in Jefferson City, McAuliffe also attended the triennial meetings for the Missouri Arts Council & Missouri Cultural Trust. McAuliffe has served at the pleasure of the Governor on the boards of both the Council and Trust since 2008. In this capacity, he has presided over the disbursement of tens of millions of dollars in public funding for the arts.
